A post-graduation work permit (PGWP) may be valid anywhere between 8 months and up to 3 years. Unless you’ve graduated from a master’s degree program, the length of your permit will depend on the length of the study program you completed in Canada.
A petition E-4454 was filed in Canada demanding to increase the length of PGWP(Post-graduation work permit), where a student whose course length is 1 year should get 3 years work permit, and those with a course length of 2 or more years should get 5 years of work permit.
The government did not deny this and responded by saying that they cannot promise a 5-year work permit but are reviewing students’ needs and aligning it with the labor market.
