Australia’s ANZSCO to Be Replaced by National Occupation List in 2024

In a significant change for Australia’s immigration system, the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations also known as ANZSCO will be replaced by a new National Occupation List (NOL) on November 20, 2024.
Australia will transition to its own National Occupation List (NOL) starting in late 2024, reflecting changes in the labor market. This new list will replace the ANZSCO system, which graded jobs by skill levels.

With the introduction of the NOL, Australia aims to streamline its immigration processes by having a system tailored to its specific job market needs. ANZSCO, used since its inception, will be phased out in favor of more updated criteria.
